Avery McDonald joined Ascent Strategic Communications in 2026 as an Operations Assistant, supporting the team across a variety of administrative, research, and operational initiatives. In her role, she assists with project coordination, media list development, research, and other behind-the-scenes efforts that help the firm run smoothly.
Avery has held leadership roles in student government and service clubs, was an active volunteer at the Sullenberger Aviation Museum, and worked as a law firm assistant. She enjoys tackling complex projects, finding creative solutions, and contributing to the success of a collaborative team environment.
Avery recently graduated from Myers Park High School and will attend the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where she plans to study business. Outside of work, she enjoys staying active through fitness, spending time with friends and family, traveling, and volunteering.
